GETTING TO THE CIRCUIT
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT
The organisers at Zandvoort are keen to promote sustainable travel. This means that cars and taxis are not allowed at the circuit andover the race weekend.
Once you’re at the town of Zandvoort (only around 30km from Amsterdam) it is a simple walk or cycle to the circuit.
However, there are public transport links to the circuit too.
Train
If you’ve already secured accommodation in Zandvoort, you won’t need to worry about public transport, but many fans choose to make the most of the trip and enjoy a city break in Amsterdam.
A train links Zandvoort aan Zee station with Amsterdam’s Centraal at least every 30 minutes. A day ticket costs around €12 and can be bought here. Haarlem is also linked to the circuit by just a 10 minute train ride, which costs around €5. Tickets can be bought here.
Bus
Bus lines 300 and 356 (operated by Connexxion) provide regular services which only take 15 minutes to reach the circuit from Haarlem station. The buses also link Amsterdam and the Zaandvort circuit. The drop off point at the circuit is Gate 2. See the map below for details, and tickets can be bought in advance here.
Park & Ride
Cars are not allowed within the exclusion zone around the circuit, but Park & Ride options are available from €37.50 per day. You can then take the bus (see above) to the circuit.
